When two strangers meet by letter during World War II, a love story begins. U.S. Army Captain Jack Ludwig, a military doctor stationed in Oregon, begins writing to Louise Rabiner, an aspiring actress and dancer in New York City, hoping to meet her someday if the war will allow. But as the war continues, it threatens to end their relationship before it even starts.

Elwood P. Dowd insists on including his friend Harvey in all of his sister Veta’s social gatherings. Trouble is, Harvey is an imaginary six-and-a-half-foot-tall rabbit. To avoid future embarrassment for her family—and especially for her daughter, Myrtle Mae—Veta decides to have Elwood committed to a sanitarium. Tony Wendice has married his wife, Margot, for her money and now plans to murder her for the same reason. He arranges the perfect murder. He blackmails a scoundrel he used to know into strangling her for a fee of one thousand pounds, and arranges a brilliant alibi for himself. Unfortunately…the murderer gets murdered and the victim survives. What happens next is the big mystery!

The miserly Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by the ghost of his former business partner, Jacob Marley, on Christmas Eve. Marley warns Scrooge to change his ways or face a grim fate. Throughout the night, Scrooge is visited by three spirits—the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come—who show him scenes from his life, revealing the consequences
of his greed. Moved by these visions, Scrooge awakens on Christmas morning with a newfound spirit of generosity and compassion, transforming into a kind-hearted man who embraces the true meaning of Christmas.
